Before you leave our site, we hope you will participate in our Protect-an-Acre program by sponsoring at least one acre of the Amazon rainforest with a tax-deductible contribution of $100. Each acre you protect in your name, or "gift" to a friend, can be located by its own, specific GPS coordinates. So you can view it from space (via one of the online satellite imagery services) and even visit it in person on one of our Amazon Eco-Tours, to see for yourself how our "Eco-nomic" policies are working.

Your sponsored acre will be protected in perpetuity, in accordance with a Conservation Agreement, Brazilian law, and international standards of conservation, preservation, and sustainable land use.

You'll also be glad to know that we can multiply the positive effect of your sponsorship fee by protecting additional rainforest land, reclaiming deforested lands, providing fair trade wages for the traditional and indigenous people of the rainforest, and supporting the growth of environmentally-friendly businesses. Our upcoming plans include the ability to zoom into your sponsored acre from space without leaving our website, view amazing rainforest video clips and live internet streaming shows direct from the Amazon, as well as interactive discussions with environmental experts, and other exciting events from Brazil, Holland, Japan, England, and the U.S.

You'll soon be able to take virtual eco-tours of our RainTrust Reserves, download photos and posters, listen to sounds of the rainforest, Brazilian music, and use instant text translation in 16 different languages. So you can chat with your neighboring RainTrustees from all over the world!
